Nvidia Supports ATI Radeon PhysX Efforts

Mountain House (CA) - You gotta love this industry. 12 days ago, we reported about a website making progress in getting Nvidia’s CUDA platform and PhysX to run on ATI Radeon cards, which Nvidia denied would be possible. Some even claimed that such a tool was a planned hoax. Now we are told that developer Eran Badit has not only been invited to join Nvidia’s developer program, but has also been offered hands-on help. Here is an update to a fascinating story that may soon bring PhysX support to your Radeon graphics card.

Corsair Launches DDR3-2133

Corsair has increased its Dominator product line with the launch of a 2,133 MHz (PC3-17066) DDR3 memory module. Available in 2 GB kits (TW3X2G2133C9DF) this module features Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX) technology that uses convection and conduction methods to remove heat from the memory module. This memory has been verified to operate at 2,133 MHz at latencies of 9-9-9-24 at 2.0 V on nVidia 790i-based motherboards.

Sony Announces 8 GB M2 Card

Sony has announced an 8 GB Memory Stick Micro card (M2), twice the capacity of the company’s most capacious M2 card currently available. This M2 card comes with a USB adaptor allowing you to read your data using a computer. Sony didn’t say how much this card will cost and when it will reach the market.

Scythe Launches Ninja 2 CPU Cooler

Scythe has increased its Ninja product line with the launch of Ninja 2 (SCNJ-2000), a CPU cooler for Intel (sockets 478/775) and AMD (sockets 754/939/940/AM2/AM2+) processors. Its base is made of aluminum with six cooper heat-pipes connecting its base to the cooler’s fins. Ninja 2 weight 26.46 oz (820 g), uses a 120-mm fan that can spin at 1,000 rpm making a noise level of 20.50 dBA. According to Scythe Ninja 2 can produce an air flow of 52.90 CFM. Its MSRP isn’t available yet.

Thermaltake Launches Bigwater 770

Thermaltake has just launched its latest liquid cooling system, Bigwater 770 (CL-W0187). This system comes already pre-assembled and can be easily installed on two available 5 ¼” bays of your PC case. Bigwater 770 is equipped with a radiator, a 120-mm fan, a pump with embedded water tank, a cooper CPU block, hoses and liquid coolant. It fits both AMD and Intel CPUs. Its MSRP isn’t available yet.

Transcend Releases aXeRam DDR3-1800

Transcend has released aXeRam DDR3-1800+ Extreme Performance memory modules designed specifically for gamers and overclocking enthusiasts. These modules are available in 2 GB kits, has typical voltage of 1.8 V, 8-8-8-24 timings, aluminum heatsink and feature XMP (Intel Extreme Memory Profiles), which allows memory modules to negotiate with memory controller betters timings and the higher clock under which they can work in order to achieve the best performance. This feature works only with Intel X38 and X48 chipsets.

Leadtek Launches WinFast PX9800 GTX+

Leadtek has just increased its WinFast product line with the launch of WinFast PX9800 GTX+, a graphics card based on GeForce 9800 GTX+ GPU (an overclocked 9800 GTX). Arctic Cooling Launches Accelero TWIN TURBO

Arctic Cooling officially launched Accelero TWIN TURBO, a VGA cooler compatible with several graphics cards including ATI Radeon HD4870/4850. This cooler has four heat-pipes and two 80-mm fans with variable rotation speed controlled by the video card. The Accelero TWIN TURBO MSRP is USD 35.
